The District Grand Lodge of Madras
The District Grand Lodge of Madras (DGL) is an organisation established by the United Grand Lodge of England in accordance with its Book of Constitutions. The head of the DGL is the District Grand Master, appointed directly by the Grand Master of the UGLE in London.
The DGL serves as the governing body supervising all Lodges within the District — encompassing the entire southern region of India. St. John's Lodge No. 434 EC works under its authority and in full accordance with the Book of Constitutions.

The supreme Masonic authority, based at Freemasons' Hall, London. Founded 1717.
District Grand Lodge of Madras
Governs all UGLE-constituted Lodges across southern India. Headed by the District Grand Master.

Working under the DGL of Madras in Hyderabad since 1822, under the English Constitution.
